Makes life very, very simple. However, that doesn't mean I don't back up my current WIP to an alternating set of thumb drives, which live in my purse or pocket, so they aren't at home. Nor does it mean I don't burn a CD every so often and carry it to the safe deposit box. I haven't gotten quite so paranoid as to actually send CDs off to other cities, but once I'm done, it all gets emailed to my editor anyway, so then it's in NY. And a final CD goes to the bank.
