The Writer’s Technology Companion is Live!
The Writer’s Technology Companion is now live.
After several months of setting up (and finishing other projects), I’m ready to say “Hello” to the writing world. The first “real” posts will start going up on Monday (though I might post a little something here over the weekend if I get in the mood…).
Stay tuned for:
- reviews of software and hardware to make writers’ lives easier (or at least more organized),
- tutorials on using and maintaining the tools of the writing trade,
- tips and advice on using technology to promote yourself and your work, and
- links to resources for writers across the web.
The Writer’s Technology Companion will post at least three times a week, with extra posts for breaking news (whatever that turns out to be — I’m not sure there’s “breaking news” in the writing technology world) and tutorial series. I’ve got lots of great stuff planned for the weeks and months ahead, with special series on podcasting, getting the most out of Word 2007, and creating e-books in the works.
If you have any comments, tips, or suggestions you’d like to share with me, please contact me! Like any writing, this site is a collaborative effort — it’s useless unless you, the reader, finds something meaningful and useful here.
Finally, to everyone who subscribed to the RSS feed or the email notification list before the site went live, I want to give a big, hearty “thanks!”. You signed up with nothing to go by but a name. I hope that the material I post over the next few weeks makes taking that risk worthwhile.
